The Power of UX Research and Why Marketing Needs It Too

UX research is a game-changer for product teams. But as a marketing leader, I’ve been asking myself: Do we apply the same rigor when testing our messaging before launches?

Too often, marketing teams rely on ad-hoc meetings, informal feedback from analysts, or friendly customers without the structured research that product teams use.

I’ve been guilty of this myself. When I first launched the Project Sveltos - Kubernetes Multi-Cluster Add-on Operator homepage, I simply asked for quick feedback in the Sveltos Slack channel. While helpful, it lacked the depth and structured insights that true UX research provides.

That’s why I was excited to discover Voicepanel, a promising Y Combinator startup focused on making UX research easier for both marketing and product teams.

After meeting with John Provine, I decided to put it to the test and created a survey for Sveltos to evaluate our homepage messaging, layout, and content.

And I have to say, loved the entire experience. In fact, I think many SaaS products could learn from VoicePanel’s onboarding flow:

✅ Intuitive Onboarding & UI – VoicePanel’s step-by-step process made launching a Website Test easy.

✅ Pre-Built Templates – The Website Test template provided structured questions for usability and messaging that I could just edit for my specific use case, saving tons of time.

✅ Easy Sharing – Sharing the survey was simple, and I’m eager to analyze the feedback!

✅ AI-Powered Speech Recognition – No need to type! Testers can simply speak their feedback, making the process faster and more natural.

Now, I’d love your help! Take VoicePanel for a spin while helping us refine Sveltos' homepage. No signup needed, just click here 👉 https://lnkd.in/g222Q7Wb 👈 to share your thoughts!

VoicePanel’s speed and self-serve model without relying on third-party agencies could revolutionize how marketing teams validate messaging.
